Declarations for finance application

 By submitting a finance application through our website, you:

  • Declare that the information provided in your finance application is true and correct and that you are over the age of 18 years and are not an undischarged bankrupt.
  • Give permission to MMML to verify any information that you provide (or information that we may collect from other sources) with third parties and third-party databases, including Government agencies, for purposes related to your application for credit or administering your account with us, including for fraud prevention and complying with the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.
  • Appoint MMML as your agent to collect, use, and disclose your personal information for carrying out credit checks with a credit reporting agency for the purpose of making a recommendation for a credit facility the MMML Finance Partner. This includes providing your information to the credit reporting agency and receiving information about you from the credit reporting agency.
  • Authorise any third party to provide your personal information to MMML for any of these purposes during and after the process of applying for finance.
  • Understand that if MMML discloses your personal information to a credit reporting agency, they may hold your information on their credit reporting database and use it for providing credit reporting services and for any other lawful purpose. They may also disclose your information to their subscribers for the purpose of credit checking or debt collection or for any other lawful purpose.
  • Agree that the MMML Finance Partner may collect personal, financial, and commercial information and references about you as is necessary for considering this application and may produce this authority to such parties for the purposes of collecting such information.
  • Agree to meet the cost of an independent valuation of the security to support this application, such valuation to be obtained by MMML in consequence of this application. Your solicitor/agent is authorised to accept any notification on your behalf.
  • Agree that MMML is authorised to disclose your personal and financial information to disclosed referral partners for the purpose of providing additional products and services.

 Acknowledge that if the MMML Finance Partner provides this finance, they:

  • Will keep your personal information during the period the finance is provided and for six months after repayment of all credit provided.
  • May provide MMML with information regarding the finance facility during and after the repayment of all credit provided, along with updated personal and financial information.
  • May collect and monitor personal information about you as is necessary for the administration and protection of such credit.
  • May provide any of the personal information to a third party employed by the MMML Finance Partner to assist in enforcement of any agreement between us.
  • Request the MMML Finance Partner or any related MMML finance partner to send you details of other products and services from time to time.
  • Acknowledge that you have the right to access your personal information and request correction.

 Provision of additional services

You authorise the MMML Finance Partner to disclose personal information about you to a credit agency for the purposes of compiling a credit report and creating a credit profile. Further, you authorise the MMML Finance Partner to use your personal information for merchandising, market research, and offering additional services, including newsletters from MMML or the offer of additional credit facilities.

The information that may be disclosed includes: name, address, telephone number, loan amount of any facility, any debits made, frequency and amounts of payments made, including details of overdue payments. You understand that you have the right to access and request correction of your personal information held by the credit reporting agency.
